LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy
Come exactly as you are. We’re here for all of it.
At Compassionate Voice Counseling, we understand that living in a world that often misunderstands or invalidates LGBTQIA+ identities can lead to a deep sense of exhaustion, hypervigilance, and emotional pain. You don’t have to navigate that alone.
Whether you’re exploring your identity, dealing with coming out stress, healing from religious trauma, or just trying to exist authentically in a cis-heteronormative world, we provide a space where all of you is welcome. Our clinicians are LGBTQIA+ affirming and trauma-informed. We are committed to anti-oppressive practices and actively work to unlearn systems of harm, not just in theory, but in how we show up in session.
You deserve care that doesn’t require translation.
Therapy here won’t ask you to educate your therapist or explain your humanity. We understand how the intersections of gender, sexuality, race, neurodivergence, and trauma show up in the room. Many of our clients come to us tired of code-switching, people-pleasing, or questioning whether they’re “too much.” Here, we hold space for your complexity with compassion and curiosity.
We support:
- Gender identity exploration and gender transition support
- Navigating microaggressions, discrimination, and family rejection
- Healing from religious and spiritual trauma
- Affirming support for polyamory, kink, and non-traditional relationships
- Mental health struggles that intersect with identity: anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout
You deserve a therapist who honors your identity, respects your pronouns, and is present with you in your pain and your growth. Let’s work together to help you feel seen, grounded, and more fully yourself.
