• Sabrina Basquez, LCSW, CEO

Sabrina Basquez, MSW, LCSW, is the founder and CEO of Compassionate Voice Counseling. She is a therapist and consultant specializing in burnout, secondary/vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, trauma-sensitive mindfulness, self-compassion, and somatic and attachment-focused EMDR. Sabrina is dedicated to supporting professionals and adult students navigating the challenges of high-demand work environments or academic programs, especially those grappling with secondary traumatic stress, anxiety, and boundary-setting difficulties.

After a decade of working with vulnerable populations, Sabrina personally experienced the devastating effects of burnout and secondary traumatic stress. During the final year of her master’s program, she faced the tragic loss of her best friend, partly due to burnout. This profound experience, along with witnessing the suffering of countless caring professionals who over-dedicated themselves to noble work without recognizing the toll on their well-being and efficacy, reinforced her passion for this work.

Sabrina collaborates with professionals in high-demand careers to learn how to self-manage burnout, secondary traumatic stress, and workplace bullying. She utilizes somatic EMDR to address both recent and longstanding traumas and fosters the development of self-compassion so that boundaries and self-care become more natural and less like additional burdens. Her approach is particularly suited for high achievers and perfectionists who often struggle with people-pleasing, anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, mood disorders, or challenging core beliefs. Whatever the issue, Sabrina’s overarching goal is to help clients achieve greater work-life balance, recover motivation, and rediscover the joy in life.

Having personally recovered from burnout and workplace trauma, Sabrina understands the journey to empowerment and healing. She is passionate about helping others find their way forward.
